NBA Preseason is Here

Last night the NBA's preseason tipped off with two games. The Hornets went up against the Magic at the Amway Center in Orlando. The second of the two games would be between the Pacers and the Pelicans in Indianapolis.

In the match up between the Hornets and the Magic both teams role players would get more minutes and they definitely made the most of it. Jeremy Lin had 17 point and 7 assists while Jeremy Lamb tacked on another 16 points. Nicolas Batum also made his debut with the Hornets putting up 14 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. For the Orlando Magic, Mario Hezonja had nine points in his debut while back up center Andrew Nicholson filled it up with 23 points. In the end the Hornets would come away with the win of a score of 106-100.

In the second match up between the Pacers and Pelicans the headline would be Paul George. George would be at full health looking to return to his former self. He did just that last night. He scored 18 points and recorded 5 rebounds. The newest member of the Pacers, Monta Ellis, had a forgettable night. He scored just 2 points in 21 minutes. Hopefully this isn't a sign of this to come because the Pacers need Ellis this season to compete. For the Pelicans, Davis had 18 points and 8 rebounds in only 15 minutes of play. As for Eric Gordon he put up 16 points. I think this season Eric Gordon is my sleeper all star. Gordon was averaging 22 points per game before catching the injury bug. If he can stay healthy unlike the past three seasons he should be able to fill up the box score.

The NBA season is just around the corner and this could be one of the most exciting seasons in a long time. All the incoming talent combined with the players in there prime and current hall of famers. There is a lot to look forward to.
